seam repair screwfix

Grateful for any advise JD JD It can be smoothed by a finger dipped in white spirit after application, and is tacky in an hour or so, depending on the humidity. Hope you got a steady hand BUT – make sure you get the old mastic off and the mating surfaces completely clean and degreased first. I can do some DIY stuff, but this seems a bit daunting

Screwfis fix all seems the clever way to re seal, cheaper and never heard of a problem, I think the majority of caravan repairers use it.

Jenny ah Standard Member Outfit: It cures to a tough rubber-like consistency and is an excellent adhesive, far better than any mastics. Mercedes D Conversion Location: Don’t use Sikaflex on anything you might want to take apart again though like fridge vents once it is put on properly the only way to get it off is to cut it!

Just googled that ‘Fix All’ Will Standard Member Outfit: Grateful for any advise JD JD JD Standard Member Outfit: Sikaflex is what we have used on a new build for our trailer, and you can get it apart afterwards, you just need to cut through the seam with a sharp blade. Sikaflex is a seaj sealant and adhesive. Our dealer workshop is now using Fix All not Sikaflex. Billy 3 Standard Member Outfit: Ebay is normally cheapest as folks sell their surplus tubes off, but you can find deals around on the net if you look.

Please report any error here. Looks er, ‘interesting’ stuff to use Once the bead is smoothed out just peal away the tape and then leave it alone until sdrewfix gone off, ant little whisps of sealant can then be carefully trimmed away with a sharp stanly knife.
